Introduction to Mayan Civilization

Located in the modern day country of Guatemala, the Mayans, an ancient civilization, lived during the early AD's. The Mayans were well known for their mathematics, calendar making, hieroglyphs, and architecture. During the 6th century, the Mayans were at the peak of their power. The Mayans mysteriously faded away in the 10th century A.D. 

This shows the remains of a Mayan city called Tayasal. This is the last Mayan  city.
